Leticia Eugenio

Leticia Pasion Eugenio, 72, of Mountain View died June 3, 2016, at The Queen’s Medical Center West in Ewa Beach, Oahu. Born June 16, 1943, in Pangasinan, Isabela, Philippines, she was a packer for Hawaiian Tropical Produce.

Friends may call at 5 p.m. June 12 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may also call from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. June 13 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a visitation. Casual attire and flowers are welcomed; burial at Homelani Memorial Park.

She is survived by husband, Romeo Eugenio Sr. of Mountain View; sons, Romeo (Lisa Cordero) Eugenio Jr., Ellsworth (April Kosora) Eugenio of Mountain View; daughters, Nida Eugenio of Keaau, Nowmie (Jaime) Badua, Norma (John) Mones , both of Las Vegas, Rolieta (Jeffery) Kurth of Ohio, Rosemarie (Kenneth Rosite) Eugenio of Pahoa, Rosalie (Reynald) de Aquino of Waianae, Oahu; brothers, Tomas (Norma) Pasion and Danilo Pasion of Philippines; brothers, Tomas (Norma) Pasion, Danilo Pasion, both of Philippines; sisters, Arsenia (Inocencio) Sicam, Leila Pasion, Perlita Pasion, all of Philippines; 37 grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Satoru Yamamoto

Satoru “Roy” Yamamoto, 96, of Pepeekeo died May 19, 2016, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Feb. 6, 1920, in Hakalau, he was a retired truck driver for the former Mauna Kea Sugar Co. and member of Honomu Henjoji Mission and ILWU Local 142.

Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.

He is survived by wife, Ruth Yamamoto of Pepeekeo; son, Dennis Yamamoto of Pepeekeo; daughter, Charlyn (Donald Perreira) Yamamoto of Pepeekeo; brother, Toshio Yamamoto of Waipahu, Oahu; numerous nieces and nephews.

Akiko Nakamichi

Akiko Onishi Nakamichi, 97, of Hilo died May 22, 2016, at the Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Papaikou, she was a homemaker, a seamstress at the former Kamehameha Garment Factory and a member of the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin.

Private services held.

She is survived by sons, James (Gwen) Nakamichi, Richard (Dale) Nakamichi, both of Hilo; daughter, Doris (Michael) Miyasaka of Honolulu; brothers, Yorio (Yasuko) Onishi of Hilo, Kotaro (Nancy) Onishi of Leilani Estates; sister, Sueko Yorita of Hilo; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Irene Matsuura

Irene Tomie Matsuura, 73, of Hilo died May 21, 2016, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born April 30, 1943, in Olaa, she was a retired secretary to the dean of student services for the University of Hawaii at Hilo, kumu of Lei Hulu of Hilo Hawaii feather lei making club, and member of Puna Hongwanji Mission, HGEA Retirees Association, Anela Lani Association, and Okinawa Golf Club.

Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.

She is survived by husband, Clarence Matsuura of Hilo; daughters, Marcia (Curtis Balingit) Matsuura and Patty Bedoya, both of Honolulu; son, Kelly (Marilou) Matsuura of Honolulu; brothers, Gilbert (Mariko) Uyeda of Pahoa, Edward Uyeda of Hilo; hanai sisters, Carol Halstead of Hilo, Carlene Nakashima of Las Vegas; three grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Judith Fukushima

Judith “Fuku” Fumiko Fukushima, 68, of Volcano died May 26, 2016, at her residence. Born Oct. 18, 1947, in Honolulu, she was a retired clerk for the Dept. of Health, State of Hawaii.

She is survived by spouse, Allen Guyer of Volcano son, Dean Kaichi of Maui; brother, Lloyd (Diane) Fukushima of Mililani, Oahu; sister, Joy Ledbetter of Texas; nieces and nephews.
